Pinneberg rocks: Young Sound Festival with Heavysaurus on July 19th!

On July 19, 2025, the Komet youth club in Pinneberg will be transformed into a lively stage for the young music scene. The Young Sound Festival presents a number of up-and-coming bands and solo artists from the region from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. The spotlight is on the dino-metal band Heavysaurus, which not only performs in Pinneberg, but also plays at the renowned Wacken Open Air. The festival brings a bit of Wacken flair to the city!

Overall, many exciting artists are doing the honors. Next to Heavysaurus are the bandsLuna Rossa,NoNamesandCursed Abysswith the party. Particularly noteworthy: Cursed Abyss has already caused a stir at the Wacken Music Camp. Students from the Modern Academy Pinneberg and the pirate class from the local elementary and community school also show their talent on stage.

A festival with heart

But the Young Sound Festival also has other goals. It supports band culture and offers young people the chance to present themselves on a professional stage. Local clubs and organizations present their work in the outdoor area, while the young people take on central tasks such as moderation and documentation. Bastian Gebhardt and Kasi Cetinkaya are behind the idea, and the event is strongly supported by the city of Pinneberg, the Pinneberger Kinder association and sponsors such as the Wacken Foundation and the VR Bank in Holstein.

A very special supporter is Holger Hübner, the founder of the Wacken Festival, who has taken over the patronage. At just two euros, the entry price is a real bargain compared to the usual entry prices of 30 to 40 euros. But you should hurry, because there is no box office and around 90 percent of the wristbands have already been sold. Up to 1,000 visitors are expected for the event.
