Scooter driver (67) dies in dramatic bus accident in Fürth!

On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred in the Fürth district, which caused a huge response in the region. A 67-year-old scooter driver lost his life around 5:00 p.m. on state road 2409 between Cadolzburg and Ammerndorf after colliding with an oncoming bus. Fortunately, the driver of the bus, a 57-year-old man, was only slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital for precautionary measures.

The scooter driver was overtaking two cars when the accident happened. The force of the impact was so severe that his scooter was totaled. The bus, which was on a factory trip at the time of the accident, also had massive front damage. State Road 2409 remained closed in both directions until approximately 10:00 p.m. in order to secure the scene of the accident and carry out a more detailed investigation.

Investigations are ongoing

The Fürth traffic police have already started the investigation and are being supported by an expert. To verify the results of the investigation, a police helicopter was used to take aerial photos of the scene of the accident. The wreckage of the scooter was seized in order to gain further information about the cause of the accident so that at least the background to this tragic incident can be clarified.
