Sonia Fietz: Schleswig-Holstein's most popular care professional inspires!

On a bright October day, the eagerly awaited awards ceremony for the most popular care professional in Schleswig-Holstein took place today in the “Villa Reinbek”. At the center of the event was Sonia Fietz, who prevailed with her sensitive and humorous approach to nursing and won the title of “Most Popular Nursing Professional in Schleswig-Holstein”. A good two months ago, Sonia Fietz, deputy nursing service manager and living area manager at the prestigious “Villa Reinbek”, decided to take part in the competition. She wanted to put not only herself but also the entire nursing profession in the spotlight. She also actively collected votes by campaigning for her nomination in nursing schools and at events such as the Hamburger Schlagermove. She received support not only from colleagues and residents, but also from local businesses such as an Italian restaurant and an ice cream parlor. Incidentally, it was her son Leon who, without her knowledge, advertised for her at his school and to passers-by.

A reason to celebrate

The award ceremony today was attended by numerous well-wishers and accompanied by political celebrities. Fietz was named state winner in the presence of many supporters. In her thanks, she spoke about how important cohesion and recognition are in the nursing profession. The competition was organized by the Association of Private Health Insurance and offers the national winners the opportunity to qualify for the title of “Germany's most popular nursing professional” by November 14th. This is a great opportunity for Fietz to spread her message even further, which essentially aims to put the nursing profession in a positive light.

The nationwide award ceremony will finally take place on November 25, 2025 in Berlin at the “Festival of Care Professionals”.
