Bahn carousel turns on: Wismar gets faster connections!

The harbor days in Wismar are a real highlight for the region, and this is not only shown in the large number of visitors. Thousands of guests flocked to the Hanseatic city to enjoy the diverse program. Not only was the maritime tradition celebrated, but also a work of art that attracted visitors to the Phantertechnikum. A future -oriented project is also in the traffic area: Deutsche Bahn started the expansion of the rail connection between Lübeck and Bad Kleinen today. A total of around 63 kilometers of railway line will be modernized and electrified by 2028. The cultural life in Wismar also blooms. The 35th summer season of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival was opened with an impressive concert in the Georgenkirche, conducted by Herbert Blomstedt with the Elbphilharmonie Orchester. By September 14th, the organizers have planned 136 appearances at 96 venues, which significantly enriched the cultural offer in the region.

A total of 168 young people from Wismar, the island of Poel and Neuburg have held their celebrations in the theater.
