insight into traffic safety
Such incidents also skill lightly on the general traffic safety situation in Germany. According to Destatis, comprehensive and reliable data on traffic safety are collected. These statistics are of fundamental importance for legislation and improving traffic education as well as street infrastructure. They help to better understand factors causing the accident and to develop measures to check traffic safety.
The current statistics show how important preventive measures are. In 2024 there was a slight decline in traffic accidents at 13,859 in the police headquarters in the Southeast Hesse police headquarters, compared to 13,895 in 2023. The rising figures of the traffic dead, which have grown from 19 to 25, are also seven pedestrians and four cyclists among the victims, as from the report police Hessen. In view of these statistics, it is indispensable that not only road users are more attentive, but traffic safety is also optimized accordingly. The protection of pedestrians and cyclists must be a top priority, especially in view of the increasing number of accidents. In any case, there is hope that preventive measures and increased awareness of road users will lead to a noticeable improvement in the situation on our streets.
