Together against hate: Antifa mobilizes for the CSD in Neumünster!

Neumünster, Deutschland - On July 5, 2025, Neumünster is characterized by anti -fascist resistance. The Christopher Street Day (CSD) is confronted by the right-wing extremist NPD, which wants to spread their propaganda against LGBT communities on the same day. Under the motto "Together against the NPD march", anti-fascist groups and queer activists mobilize: Inside to a rally that starts at 12 p.m. at the main train station in Neumünster. Kiel also traveled together where they meet at 11 a.m. at the main train station in order to set a strong voice against the right -wing ideology. At the NPD, a meeting is planned for 12:30 p.m. at the Neumünster train station, followed by a march through the city at 1 p.m.

"This event is not only important to set an example against the NPD, but also to defend the queer life plans," explains a representative of the organizers. The background to this mobilization is the dramatic increase in queer -anti -violence in recent years. In 2024 alone, the number of attacks increased by almost 50 percent compared to the previous year. Such developments make it clear that protection of queer life is not a matter of course.

fear and threats in the CSD context

The right attitude of the NPD shows not only in its agitation against "gender gaga", but also through the instrumentalization of false narratives. According to the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, the LSBTIQ movement is used as an enemy image to spread its own racist and nationalist ideologies. In addition, right groups are against diversity in sexual orientations and family models, since they propagate heterosexuality as the "natural" family model.

According to the BKA, there were already 1,785 crimes against LSBTIQ*people in 2023, which means an increase of around 50 percent compared to the previous year. These hideous acts include insults, acts of violence and threats, whereby the number of unreported cases is considerably higher. The Interior Minister Nancy Faeser is committed to pursuing queer -anti -queer violence more consistently and creating good conditions for the security of queer people.

A call for mobilization

The organizers of the rally on July 5 are demanding a broad participation. "Every voice counts to stop the right pressure and strengthen the visibility of queer people," said the organizers. It is not just about protesting the NPD, but rather about sending a clear message of solidarity and resistance to discrimination.

A concrete incident that illustrates the current situation occurred in 2022 when a trans man was brutally killed in Münster during the CSD. The terrifying increase in queer -hostile attacks makes it clear that measures to protect the queer community are urgently necessary.

The role of the police and other state institutions is also viewed critically. Many activists: Inside, they perceive them as unreliable under the protection of queer life designs. The case of Maja, a non-binary anti-fascist who was held in Hungary and hoped for help from Germany, shows how weak the reactions to international attacks are.

On July 5, Neumünster becomes a setting for a strong sign against right -wing agitation and for defending diversity and self -determination. Come over and show that everyone has the right to live as they want - without fear of discrimination or violence!
