RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG startet solide ins Geschäftsjahr 2024 mit gesteigerten Umsätzen und Ergebnissen

RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, one of the leading healthcare providers in Germany, has reported a solid start to the 2024 fiscal year. The company has seen an increase in both its consolidated net income and EBITDA, as well as its revenues, in the first three months.

During this period, revenue rose by 5.9% to €382.8 million compared to the same period in 2023. The earnings before interest, taxes, and depreciation (EBITDA) were €25.2 million, which is a 12.0% increase from the previous year’s figure of €22.5 million. Including depreciation, financing costs, and taxes, the company achieved a consolidated profit of €11.1 million in the first quarter of 2024, compared to €6.4 million in the same period in 2023. Additionally, the company treated 234,151 patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings in its clinics and medical centers, representing an increase from 228,189 patients in Q1 2023.

Prof. Dr. Tobias Kaltenbach, CEO of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to meet the challenges of the upcoming healthcare reform, stating that they are well-prepared with their RHÖN-Campus concept and expanding outpatient treatments, as well as introducing new medical services.

In terms of outlook for the 2024 fiscal year, RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG expects a revenue of €1.6 billion with a variation of +/- 5%. The EBITDA is projected to be between €110 million and €120 million. However, the company acknowledges that these forecasts are subject to significant uncertainty due to various worldwide crises, such as inflation and price increases, as well as potential regulatory interventions affecting the reimbursement structure in 2024.
