District roads in killer condition: District Administrator Sack informs on July 16th!
The condition of the district roads in the Jarmen-Tutow district is increasingly becoming an explosive issue. On July 16th, District Administrator Michael Sack (CDU) plans to hold a work consultation with the local administration and mayors in this region. A key concern will be transport connections and the desolate condition of many roads, such as those SVZ reported.
In the region around Jarmen and Loitz, a number of district roads are at high risk. Particularly worrying is the VG104 between Kartlow and Alt Tellin, which consists of two lengths of GDR concrete slabs and has significant drops. You also have to be careful on the VG105 between Müssentin and Wilhelminenthal, as there is a displaced natural stone pavement here. But that's not all: the VG6 from Neu Jargenow to Göslow and the VG107 from Völschow to Jagetzow also appear to be dilapidated, bumpy slopes. There is a lack of consistent road safety here, which is important for residents and visitors alike.
A meeting point for civic concerns
Mayor Elke Hempel has already announced that she will address her concerns in the upcoming consultation hours. No wonder frustration with the transport authority is growing. Criticisms about their traffic regulations and signage are increasing. Mayors see the approach as uncompromising and arbitrary, which only further inflames the situation.
In order to promote dialogue with citizens, District Administrator Sack is offering a citizens' consultation hour in Jarmen on July 16th at 4 p.m. However, anyone who would like to take part should register in advance with the Jarmen-Tutow office so that the necessary preparations can be made.
Local public transport in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The importance of local public transport (ÖPNV) is currently becoming increasingly clear. The VMV's task is to ensure comprehensive information about traffic times. This year, over 15 million requests for timetable information have already been processed, which led to a significant increase in requests, particularly during the holiday season. Almost all transport companies in the country work in harmony with real-time data in order to provide citizens and tourists with the best possible information. Well-functioning local transport is essential for the development of the region; after all, mobility and accessibility are crucial factors for economic stability.
A modern transport infrastructure is not only a basic requirement for connecting jobs, but also promotes tourism in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The State government sees the development of transport routes such as roads, bridges and cycle paths as the key to economic prosperity. The challenge of launching modern transport projects while protecting the interests of citizens and the environment is seen as an important goal. Projects like the Baltic Sea Motorway help to strengthen Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as a business location.
The future of infrastructure in rural areas depends not only on citizens' concerns, but also on the formation of political will and the implementation of efficient solutions. It will be interesting to see what the coming talks will bring and whether the dilapidated roads will soon be a thing of the past.
