Full closure at Dummerstorf: Derirandings from tomorrow to July 9th!

The traffic situation around Dummerstorf will be mixed up in the coming weeks. From tomorrow, June 18, 2025, the intersection L39/L191 will be completely blocked in the industrial area in order to carry out urgently needed renovation work. The partial closures already started on June 17th and will last until July 9th. The Stralsund road construction office provides information about the measure because the road has deep longitudinal tears and exertion in the asphalt. Patchwork was not sufficient, which is why the asphalt deck and binder layer was dilated and re-applied.

The full closure concerns the entire construction phase, which redirects through traffic to the A19 (Kessin -Wittstock and Kronskamp - Rotock). The Dummerstorf (A20) junction is also closed for about a week, which affects the driveway towards Szczecin and the departure towards Dummerstorf-Waldeck. However, more precise appointments for the blocking are not yet known.

In order to minimize the burdens for school and line traffic, the bus company Rebus has already set up local diversions and temporary stops. The total costs of this measure amount to around 337,000 euros and are financed by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The experts from Georg Koch from Malchin take over the execution of the actual work.

other construction sites in the area

Dummerstorf is not the only construction site that ensures traffic disruptions in the region. Current projects on the A11, A14 and A19, such as the roadway repairs or closures in certain directions, will also affect the traffic flows. Examples are the A14 between Plater Berg and Schwerin-Ost, the work of which started on June 13, and the A19, where building work is currently taking place.

For travelers, it is recommended to follow the current traffic situation via online cards such as the one provided by the ADAC. On ADAC Maps users can view real-time traffic flow and disorders to adapt their routes accordingly.

The upcoming work in Dummerstorf once again show how important regular maintenance are to ensure traffic safety. With the diversion and support of local bus companies, an attempt is made to keep the impairments for residents and commuters as low as possible. All road users are invited to keep an eye on the current information in order to avoid unpleasant surprises.
