Wolgast in the turmoil: AfD demands radical dismantling of illegal machines!
In Wolgast, the AfD faction causes excitement by demanding the dismantling of illegal goods machines in the urban area. The corresponding application was submitted for the city representative meeting on July 21. "There are no permits for the machines set up, so they must be made immediately unable to function," argues the AfD city representative Juliane Koch. She emphasizes that the regulations for the installation of machines are clearly defined and there are enough opportunities in Wolgast to buy food and drinks.
Mayor Ralf Fischer has already taken measures: The operator of a machine at the fish market was asked to dismantle it because there is no special use permit. Another machine on Bahnhofstrasse, on the other hand, could remain because it is located in a private house and therefore does not require permission. According to the AfD, the closure of the illegal machines should also prevent further profits from being achieved that could escape the city.
Legal framework for machines
The legal requirements for sales machines are a central basis that many operators often underestimate. The list requires a business registration according to §14 GewO and in many cases a special use permit, especially if the machines are on public areas. In Wolgast, such a permit, as in [sbs-legal.de] (https://www.sbsbs-legal.de/blog/ lawliche-feit-fuer sales machine), would be necessary to meet the legal requirements.
In Germany, food machines must also be registered with the food surveillance authority. From 2025, stricter technical requirements come into force, such as the DGUV V3 with extended test criteria. New cyber security requirements and compliance with the HACCP principles for cooling machines are also required.
location selection and approval procedure
The appropriate locations for machines are crucial. Private areas, such as fitness studios or gastronomies, are often preferred. A written consent of the owner is required for this. Public spaces require a special use permit, the approval process of which can take a few weeks, as can be seen on [pulse-vending.de] (https://pulse-vending.de/blog/wechtliche/automatensturungs-bewerbungen- and-werben- and--im-detail). The fees can be between 100 and 1,000 euros per year.
After approval, tax aspects must also be observed in order to make the operation successfully in the long term. Operators must be clear about the youth protection ordinance, especially when selling age restrictions such as tobacco or alcohol.
The Wolgaster AfD faction is committed to strict compliance with the legal requirements and would like to not only inform the citizens, but also strengthen local trade by preventing competition through unlawful machines. In the face of growing demand for automated sales solutions that are particularly popular in rural regions, the discourse on compliance with regulations and general standards is becoming increasingly relevant.
