A lot has changed in the Lower Saxony city of Goslar: the company, formerly known as PDV software, is now operating under the name Metalogie. This is not only a new name, but also the result of a comprehensive realignment of the company. This will start a new era and the management team has made up for a lot.

Dr. Pfannenschmidt not only brings a strong professional foundation as a chemical laboratory assistant and graduate chemist, but has also gained valuable experience with well-known companies such as Salzgitter AG. Its expertise extends to the development of a project for battery cell production by Northvolt and VW, which makes it a strong pillar in the new structure. In metalogy, their focus is on the operational processes and the implementation of the business strategy. It will be exciting to see how it drives the further development of products and quality standards.

Since a fundamental realignment in the company management three years ago, the area of ​​responsibility has been distributed to a seven -member management level. This restructuring is intended to promote innovations in the IT industry and secure the future success of metalogy. The challenges cannot be dismissed: crises and geopolitical tensions have subdued the willingness to invest in industry. "There is something," says Niewisch and thus addresses the various difficulties that companies are confronted with.

Mitalogie has moved its location from Baßgeige to the Metallurgie Park in Oker and serves a variety of customers from the fields of metal and building materials industry as well as the recycling industry. The demand from abroad, especially from Europe and the USA, is increasing. In view of this international orientation, it is no wonder that metalogy is also actively involved in research projects with universities such as the Technical University of Clausthal. The company is currently involved in three projects, which include the use of AI and robotics for improved raw material acquisition.

opportunities in the circular economy

The trend towards the circular economy, i.e. for recycling materials and raw materials, is a key chance for metalogy. From the aspects of sustainable business, the holistic closure of material cycles is becoming increasingly central. In this context, Germany has the potential to play a pioneering role, as the BDI initiative for the Circular Economy shows, which was founded in 2021 and aims at the economic re-exploitation of raw materials. This initiative identifies technological potential and framework conditions that are necessary for a future -proof industry, and metalogy is an active part of this change.

With a portion of 40 percent in the workforce, metalogy presents itself not only as a modern company, but also as a progressive employer. The new name, which is officially introduced on April 1, 2025, underlines the company's claim to combine knowledge and abstraction in the metallurgical industry. Metalogy - a name that stands for innovation and future -oriented action.

It remains to be seen how metalogy will develop in the next few months, but the course for a promising future has already been set. The return to stable investment conditions would be a step in the right direction for everyone involved.
