Neubrandenburg Cultural Park: Experience the natural diversity to be amazed at!

Today is November 5th, 2025 and the love of nature is blooming in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The Neubrandenburg Cultural Park celebrated the open-air exhibition “Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Where Nature is at Home” in the summer of 2023, which will continue to attract numerous visitors until the end of the year. This impressive exhibition shows the state's diverse natural areas on 22 picture panels - from the picturesque Baltic Sea coast to the idyllic Kleinseenplatte and Müritz as well as from West Mecklenburg to Western Pomerania.

What makes this exhibition special? This makes the incredible diversity of nature tangible. A third of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is protected – more than in any other federal state in Germany. There are three national parks here: Jasmund, Müritz and the Western Pomerania Lagoon Landscape, which are very popular not only for nature lovers but also for holidaymakers. In addition to these natural wonders, over 30 nature experience centers inform visitors about the local flora and fauna.

Augmented reality for young and old

A special highlight is the free augmented reality app “This is how nature ticks”. This innovative application brings visitors exciting videos and 360-degree views directly to their smartphone. You can get a first impression of it on the Four Gates City website before visiting the exhibition. The outdoor exhibition is a joint project of the Nature Experience Centers Network together with the Kur- und Tourismus GmbH Zingst and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Tourism Association. A successful cooperation that shows how important nature conservation is in the region.

The photographers in the exhibition – including well-known artists such as Timm Allrich and Ronny Blohm – have managed to impressively capture the breathtaking landscapes. The traveling exhibition has already traveled through several cities, including Berlin, Rostock and Zingst, and can now be seen in Neubrandenburg until the end of the year.
