An exciting weekend for tennis in Bremen! From June 25th to 27th, 2025 the Vahr Club seven national teams at the European Summer Cup U14. With a lot of commitment and team spirit, the German team managed to win the final against Slovakia and thus qualify for the upcoming final tournament in Loano, Italy. The weather conditions were mostly on the players' side, with the exception of a few dark clouds and rain on the last day, which did not dampen the mood.

After the games had to be postponed early in the morning due to rain, the sky cleared just in time for the first singles gameMarlene Sczechand the SlovakianRiana Rusnackova. Sczech didn't need to be asked twice and secured the first set 6:2. She also kept the upper hand in the second set and won 7:5. This laid the foundation for the German team's later success.

The decisive victory

Greinert, who triumphed 6-2 in the first set, had to accept a defeat 3-6 in the second set before she found her old strength again in the deciding set and won it 6-2.
