20-year-old from Hamburg arrested as White Tiger for child abuse!
The arrest of a 20-year-old man under the alias “White Tiger” is causing horror in Hamburg. Investigators accuse him of serious crimes ranging from murder to sexual abuse of children. Hamburg Police Chief Falk Schnabel made the arrest public on June 17 and emphasized the scope of the offenses, which spanned a period of two years. “We are talking about a network of international dimensions,” says Schnabel. The man is a member of an extremist online community known as 764, which promotes satanic, sadistic and pedo-criminal content. This group has become a target of police while targeting mentally unstable children on chat forums and online games in order to manipulate them and make them emotionally dependent.
The allegations against the accused are shocking. According to the investigation, which was initiated with the support of the FBI, the arrest warrant covers a total of 123 crimes between 2021 and 2023. These include murder as an indirect perpetrator, sexual abuse and cyber rape. The authorities even have evidence that the accused urged children to self-harm and engage in sexual acts in live streams. All of these acts were documented and recorded in so-called “lawbooks”, which indicates the dimension and planning of these offenses. The case of a 13-year-old child in the USA caused a particular stir, whose suicide in 2023 made it clear how serious the situation is and to what extent international connections can lead to it.
Cybercrime as a serious problem
The phenomenon of cybergrooming, in which adults specifically seek contact with children and young people via the Internet, continues to grow. What is particularly worrying is that groups like White Tiger are still active. These groups, which Europol classifies as extremely violent, often act like cults and attempt to blackmail minors into sexual acts or acts of violence. Perpetrators use harmless platforms such as online games, social media and chat forums to gain trust. According to current statistics from 2024, there have already been 3,457 documented cases of cybergrooming, which represents a worrying increase compared to previous years.
In many cases, it is difficult for the children affected to turn to parents or caregivers. Therefore, it is essential that parents proactively talk to their children about online activities and establish online precautions. Tips and information can now be found in various safety brochures that can help parents and children better protect themselves in the digital world.
Education is the key
The case in Hamburg has brought not only the police into action, but also the Association of German Criminal Police Officers (BDK). This is calling for more personnel and legal powers to take action against such criminal networks. It is clear that it is time to raise awareness and take measures to protect the next generation. The police are appealing to all parents and legal guardians to pay close attention to their children's online activities and to help them recognize possible dangers. Information to support those with suicidal thoughts or cybergrooming are available, but the dialogue must begin – and as early as possible.
