In Altona, specifically at Beerenweg 3, a new meeting place for creative professionals from Hamburg and beyond is being built - the Altona Creative Hub. The innovative Center for Audiovisual Innovation will be officially opened on July 19, 2025, and the opening ceremony promises to be a real highlight. From 5 p.m., guests can explore the rooms and try out the modern equipment, while the “Soundbar Hamburg” provides the best entertainment with generative 3D sound art and a performance by post-wave musician MPC Lafote as part of the accompanying program. At the end of the celebration there will be an after-party with a DJ set and an open jam session in the virtual studio.
The creative hub covers 450 square meters and is accessible around the clock. Creative minds can expect a wide range of offerings here, including coworking spaces, production rooms, as well as flexible day passes and long-term rental options. At the center is the state-of-the-art “Virtual Studio” from Nexusworks Media GmbH, which is equipped with digital instruments and a Dolby Atmos-certified 3D audio control room. Other facilities include daylight studios, rehearsal rooms and rental control rooms for sound and video editing, podcasting, singing and DJing, as well as a 3D audio showroom.

The idea for the creative hub came from the search for a new location for a Dolby Atmos recording studio. Located in the heart of Altona, it offers an inspiring working environment, perfect for creative minds. Of the numerous coworking spaces in the area, the Creative Hub is particularly noteworthy as it combines the advantages of a modern and central location. The atmosphere here is characterized by helpfulness and a warm-hearted community. The creative workshops and inspiring community make the space an ideal place to exchange ideas and start new projects. Accessible 24/7, the hub leaves nothing to be desired.
