Oktoberfest in Groß Polzin: Celebrate, browse and enjoy on October 4th!

In Groß Polzin the tradition of the Oktoberfest will be celebrated again this year. On Saturday, October 4th, the local community invites you to a colorful October party on the square at the fire station from 1 p.m. This event is not only a feast for the senses, but also an important opportunity to get involved for a good cause. The proceeds from the flea market stalls will go towards organizing the seniors' Christmas party in 2023. Nordkurier reports that participation in the flea market is possible by registering via email or WhatsApp and a stand fee of only 5 euros is charged.

The event promises a varied program for the whole family. In addition to a lively flea market, there are also games and fun for children. The celebration will be accompanied musically by the popular Pommeranian Brass Band and DJ Frank, who will ensure a good atmosphere. Physical well-being is also provided - from coffee and cake to baked ham with sauerkraut and a beer cart that underlines the traditional festive atmosphere.

A festival with history

Oktoberfest has a long and impressive history, dating back to 1810. At that time, the wedding of Prince Regent Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen was celebrated. The celebrations, marked by a large horse race, took place in a meadow now known as Theresienwiese. The original idea came from Andreas Michael Dall'Armi, a member of the Bavarian National Guard, who was later awarded the city of Munich's first gold citizen medal for his vision.

According to the information from Oktoberfest.de Oktoberfest attracts between six and seven million visitors annually and has evolved from a royal wedding celebration into a globally celebrated event, attracting people from all over the world, including those from Austria, the USA and Australia.

A touch of holiday spirit

Celebrating Oktoberfest also means celebrating the Bavarian joy of life. A recipe for success is the traditional costumes, which are very popular at Oktoberfest. At the October party in Groß Polzin there are various ways to contribute to the celebration and experience a good dose of fun. From creative ideas for games to culinary delicacies – the whole range is there. Visitors can look forward to pretzel-throwing games and beer mug-holding competitions, which are also popular in other cities around the world, such as Day Venue reported.

Celebrated in many cities around the world, the festival is a unique opportunity to gather with family and friends, maintain old traditions and create new memories. Whether as a seller at the flea market or as an unsuspecting guest - taking part in the Groß Polziner Oktoberfest is a must!
