Top runners inspire in the second round of the summer hour run series!

The atmosphere in Kirch Rosin was simply great on June 17, 2025, when the second round of the summer hour run series took place. Over 40 participants ventured onto the route and, in the best weather, proved that exercise is not only an important part of life, but also a lot of fun. Again Northern Courier reported that the runners' catering was well equipped to replenish the athletes' energy stores.

Who secured the best seats? The fastest lady was Ulrike Hacker with an impressive distance of 12,193 meters within an hour. Yvonne Lübs leads the cup standings with 169.65 points and shows that she has a real knack for this sport. In the men's category, Thomasräder secured first place with 13,200 meters, followed by Ralf Buchner, who also performed strongly in the cup standings with 13,020 meters and 232.80 points.

The children's rating in focus

Even the little ones were warmly invited to test their limits. Jonas Pentzek managed a respectable 6,735 meters in 30 minutes and leads the children's ranking with a great 306.14 points. Greta Piwko is close behind with 304.33 points and shows that the next generation is also really on the ball.

The next dates for running enthusiasts have already been set: On June 25th, half-hour runners start at 5:15 p.m. and the full hour begins at 6 p.m. These events traditionally take place in the months of June, July and August, and the anticipation for the upcoming races can already be felt.

Health through exercise

But why do so many people bother to lace up their running shoes? According to a survey, more than 70 percent of Germans rate their health positively, and over 80 percent do sport to promote health. Regular physical activity can improve not only physical but also psychological well-being and reduce the risk of illness. The Statista report emphasizes that lack of exercise is a serious problem - but the trend towards exercise is definitely on the rise.

For the participants in the hour run series, it is not just a competition, but also the opportunity to do a little for their health. The organizers would like to thank the sponsors, such as EWH Projektbau Nord, and above all the many helpers who make these events possible. The next race, including an interesting cup ranking, is already in the starting blocks! One more reason to register early and perhaps test your own limits.
