On July 19, 2025, the Reitbahnensee turns into a colorful competition arena when the water sports games of the Neubrandenburg (SCN) sports club celebrate its 18th edition. Teams from all over the region compete against each other from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. So far, 19 teams have already registered, including companies, associations, authorities and private groups. Among other things, a police team and a teacher group who will mix up the competitive mood are new. An inclusion boat from Diakonie also rounds off the field of participants. By June 30th, interested groups still have the opportunity to register and become part of this exciting event.

The competitions and challenges

The dragon boat races take place on two distances: a 200-meter short distance that is driven four times, and a demanding 1350-meter round course. Here it becomes clear once again how much training and teamwork are in these competitions. The SCN also offers special training opportunities for newcomers, so everyone has the chance to try the dragon boot.

The event is not only exciting through the races, but also by the "after-race party", which is celebrated from 8:30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. On the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the SCN, the band "These types" will appear live, while DJ Bodo heats up the mood.
