New momentum at MSV Pampow: Six new signings and a test match draw!
MSV Pampow finished the current season in the association football league in eleventh place and thus secured relegation. Nevertheless, sporting director Peter Waack expressed dissatisfaction, as the season was characterized by major upheaval and difficult game politics that have not yet been completed. A key goal for the coming seasons is to change the age structure of the team and create a balanced mix of young talent and experienced players. The club plans to present some new additions in the next few weeks to further strengthen the team. Among the contract extensions that have already been announced is winger Dominik Schnabl, who plays a central role in the team.
Last season, MSV Pampow was only able to win eight of a total of 30 league games, which was a challenge. Waack emphasizes that the team did everything it could to ensure they stayed in the league. It was particularly important not to end up in the last regular relegation places, especially since all teams from the national leagues had forgone promotion. MSV therefore wants nothing to do with relegation for the coming season. After a short summer break, training starts on July 1st, followed by a first test match on July 4th against SG Ludwigslust/Grabow.
Test match and new arrivals
In the most recent test match, which was played against SG 03 Ludwigslust/Grabow, both teams ended in a 1-1 draw. The guests were already leading after 32 minutes, but Sentaro Seto was able to equalize for Pampow in the 83rd minute. MSV coach Paul Stubbe noted that it was a decent first test in which many of the new players were used. Despite good opportunities, the team also had to accept some mistakes in their own game structure. The next test is scheduled for February 8th against SV Eichede II.
The sixth new additions to strengthen MSV Pampow are:
- Andrey Minchev (Dynamo Schwerin/Oberliga)
- Alexander Karl Friedrich Müller (Dynamo Schwerin/Oberliga)
- Patrick Boy-Preußner (SV Stralendorf/Landesliga)
- Ahmad Alabdul Rahman (Güstrower SC/Verbandsliga)
- Lukas Marschall (MSV Pampow/A-Jugend)
- Kilian Krüger (unbekannt, zuvor FCM Schwerin)
New challenges in club football
The developments at MSV Pampow are also in the context of general challenges that affect many football clubs. It is becoming increasingly clear that traditional club structures are not sufficient to meet today's needs. Negative membership trends in particular require a rethink. Innovative club concepts are required to promote the identification of members and to integrate new ideas. A forward-looking analysis of the situation and the involvement of all club members are crucial in order to emphasize the club's strengths and create a distinctive profile. The necessary transformation includes not only the sporting area, but also non-sporting activities that are intended to offer exercise, health promotion and social contacts.
MSV Pampow is facing important decisions and changes that not only affect the current squad, but are also intended to strengthen efforts in club development and member identification in the coming season. The next few weeks promise to be exciting.
