Löcknitz now makes it particularly easy for its visitors to spend the night in a relaxed manner. From July 1st, travelers can use a double room in the picturesque castle complex all to themselves and only pay the price of a single room. This decision is based on the decision of the municipal representatives, who want to provide a cheap offer, especially to solo travelers. As nordkurier.de reports, the price for a single room is just 40 euros per night, including bed linen and towels. A real bargain!
The rooms are located in an annex building at the foot of the castle's impressive main tower. There are two single and six double rooms available, which are modernly equipped and promise quiet nights. Hotel guests can easily book rooms – whether by phone or email. And the food can also be arranged flexibly: there are numerous bakeries and restaurants in town where you can fortify yourself.
Barbecue area and animal friendliness
A special extra is the opportunity to use the castle's barbecue area - use costs 12 euros. If you travel with four-legged friends, you must allow for a one-off surcharge of 15 euros for pets. Despite the rudimentary tourist infrastructure, Löcknitz is very popular with business travelers, cyclists and visiting relatives. Mayor Detlef Ebert (CDU) particularly highlights the commuters and wind power builders who often spend the night in the castle.
Löcknitz Castle can look back on a long history; it was built in the 13th century. Today the octagonal main tower and parts of the wall are still preserved, which makes spending the night in this historic ambience a very special experience.
