Figure skating talents from Rostock: dream appearance at Holiday on Ice”!
The anticipation for the big figure skating show “Holiday on Ice” can already be felt in Rostock. The Rostock Figure Skating Association (REV) is preparing intensively for the upcoming performances that will take place as part of the production “Cinema of Dreams”. This show will premiere on December 4th at 7 p.m. in the Stadthalle, and two talented REV figure skaters, Sophia Hall and Nina Ulrich, can look forward to special attention.
Sophia, only 16 years old and has been active on the ice for a decade, and 22-year-old Nina, who has been training at REV for three years, showed a burning interest in “Holiday on Ice” by experiencing the past shows as spectators. Now they have the opportunity to showcase their own talents in the spotlight. “We are really excited and can’t wait!” said Sophia, while Nina added: “It’s a dream to be part of this impressive production.” Both are training diligently to give their best in the upcoming shows.
Icy adventures in the town hall
The plot of the figure skating show revolves around three friends who renovate an abandoned cinema and produce their own films. This creative premise fits perfectly with the magical feel of “Holiday on Ice,” an event known for its unique productions and artistic performances. Currently, over 18,600 tickets have already been sold for the seven planned shows, which will take place between December 4th and 7th. In addition to the premiere, there will be further performances on December 5th (4 p.m. and 8 p.m.), December 6th (2 p.m. and 6 p.m.), and December 7th (1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.).
On December 24th there will also be a big REV ice revue in the ice rink. But that's not all: ticket sales for the shows in 2026 will also start on the evening of the premiere and could cause another rush for tickets.
The importance of figure skating events
“Holiday on Ice” is not just a show, but also a significant platform to shine a spotlight on talented athletes. Such events are essential for figure skating as they inspire both fans and young talent. As part of these events, the athletes' artistic achievements are presented in an entertaining setting. The figure skating community benefits from creating a special atmosphere that is unforgettable for both athletes and spectators. National sports funding such as that from eiskunstlauf.de also makes it easier to access various competitions and events.
With the preparations for “Holiday on Ice”, the Rostock Figure Skating Club is not only offering another exciting show, but also a valuable opportunity for the young talents Sophia Hall and Nina Ulrich to prove themselves on the ice and make their dreams come true. If you want to be there, you should get your tickets quickly and experience the fascinating world of figure skating up close!
