Landscape Gardener Cup: Young talents design dream gardens in Rostock!

On June 21, 2025, the annual Landscape Gardener Cup North took place in Rostock's city harbor, a competition that brings together the best young talent in horticulture. The competition is not only a great event, but also an important platform for attracting young talent to the industry.

An impressive amount of materials was provided for the competition: 150 tons of sand, earth, wood, plants and stones were brought in specially. The trainees not only had to demonstrate their technical skills, but also master challenging tasks. This included recognizing native plants, precisely measuring areas and deliberately bursting balloons with a small excavator. Main juror Christian Jahnke noted that finding new apprentices is becoming increasingly difficult, especially in rural areas. Only the best garden will remain in the Rostock city harbor until Sunday evening and will be honored accordingly.
