On Friday, June 27th, the new “Peak” restaurant in the Rügen-Hotel in Sassnitz opens its doors and promises a breathtaking view over the Baltic Sea. On the tenth floor of the hotel, which rises 40 meters above the Baltic Sea, guests can expect "the highest pleasure on Rügen", as the motto of the restaurant is. The restaurant was completely renewed: with a modern kitchen, a new bar and an appealing interior design, which hotel owner Hannes calls Kroge as chic and emphasizes the unobstructable view, which also includes the old town, the mole and even the entire coast to Binz. Visitors to the restaurant have the opportunity to dine from 7 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. A breakfast buffet is available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., for which non-hotel guests also pay 24 euros. Coffee, cake and little things are served from 1 p.m., followed by a à la carte offer that ensures culinary delights from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. With 110 seats, the restaurant is not only open to hotel guests, but for everyone, which makes it a new contact point in the region.

The Rügen Hotel has a long history that goes back to 1969 when it opened as "Mitropa Rügen-Hotel Saßnitz". In the 1960s, ferry traffic on the royal line between Sassnitz and Trelleborg experienced a rapid upswing, and the impressive building was built by a Swedish construction company. Today the hotel is owned by the Raulff family and is very popular with holidaymakers.
