It's going to be exciting in Stralsund! Next Saturday there will be a hot duel in the Diesterweg sports hall: The Stralsund Wildcats open their doors for the second division game against Eintracht Spontent from Düsseldorf. This is not only an important competition in the 2. Volleyball Bundesliga Pro, but also a decisive step towards the DVV Cup.

Boss Steffen Täubrich emphasizes the importance of the game and the unbroken motivation of his team. “We have the chance to qualify for the main round of the DVV Cup!” said Täubrich, and that certainly has the players excited to their fingertips.

Cup dreams on Sunday

The next challenge awaits on Sunday at 2 p.m.: The Wildcats will meet the Berlin third division team TSV Rudow in the DVV Cup. A win here would mean a place in the round of 16. There would be an exciting encounter with the first division teams from ETV Hamburg. The team will give everything to achieve this goal.

That would put the Wildcats in a good race for the cup. The main rounds of the DVV Cup are a great opportunity to compete with top teams and put your skills to the test. From 2027, the final of the DVV Cup will be held in the LANXESS arena in Cologne, a location that brings together the best German women's and men's teams and features a new, exciting concept. Until then, it's important to approach each game step by step, as the Wildcats plan.

All about the team

The Stralsund Wildcats are currently playing in the 2024/25 season 2. Volleyball Bundesliga Pro, which began on September 21st and runs until April 27th, 2025.
