In Norddeich, a lot is happening at the new outdoor pool. The new building is in full swing after the groundbreaking ceremony was set in April. The old swimming pool system mostly had to give way to the new building, whereby the diving tower of the former outdoor pool was completely demolished and is not rebuilt. The preparations have been made since March to make the construction site ready to go. Sometimes the weather did not play along, because rainwater collected in the old pool and had to be pumped over for four days. The construction work is under the direction of specialist companies that started setting up the construction site at the beginning of April. And long was the way to start the new swimming Olympics - the first excavators have already demolished the edges of the old pool and distributed gravel and filled sand on the site to create a stable basis for the new pools.

The next steps provide for the pile foundation with over 200 piles that are rammed up to 22 meters deep into the ground. These piles are crucial for the stability of the new base plate. Three new pools are planned - one for swimmers, one for non -swimmers and a children's pool that comes up with water features and attractions. The new outdoor pool dream will be created in the cubature of the old pelvis, which included not only the old pools, but also parts of their edges.

The construction site at the guest house remains active until at least September 15th. After that, it has to be cleared storm -flooded, which means that the work must not be interrupted. The access asphalt for the construction vehicles remains during the entire construction period and is dismantled at the end of the work.

A big goal is in the room: The planned completion of the new outdoor pool is scheduled for September 2027. In the best case, the opening will be celebrated in spring 2028. The entire facility should become a modern outdoor pool for everyone and is therefore a profit for the region. In addition to the planned pools, offers for leisure and sporting activities are also created that should attract guests and locals alike.
