Apply quickly now! Secure study places at TU Braunschweig!

There is good news for everyone who is interested in studying at the Technical University of Braunschweig. Thanks to the flexible online application, prospective students can now enroll at short notice for the 2025/26 winter semester. The deadline for the subjects with restricted admission, which include architecture, psychology, biology and pharmacy, ends on July 15, 2025. However, anyone who is considering a bachelor's degree program with no admission can apply until October 15, 2025. Information about this can be found on the TU Braunschweig website, as TU Braunschweig reports.

Very convenient: The application is only made online, which means there are no travel or postage costs. Particularly practical: Applicants have the opportunity to check the status of their application in the online application portal at any time. This year, prospective students can look forward to a new bachelor's degree program: “Bioelectronics Engineering”. This innovative course combines life sciences and engineering and aims to train graduates who can link biological systems with electronic devices.

Application types and deadlines

The TU Braunschweig offers a variety of study options, including bachelor's degree programs with and without admission restrictions, various master's degree programs as well as further education courses and doctoral programs. As TU Braunschweig explains in detail, the application periods for the winter semester are from June 1st to July 15th for subjects with restricted admission and until October 15th for degree programs with unrestricted admission. Anyone interested in a double bachelor's degree or a state examination should also keep an eye on the deadlines.

It is also important, especially for first-year students, to register in good time, for example for courses such as B.Sc. Biology, B.Sc. Biotechnology and B.Sc. Psychology that require registration at Hochschulstart. Additional information on the specific application procedures for such programs can be found on the university's website.

Knowledge checks and grade evaluation

Around half of all study programs in Germany have admission restrictions. These occur when the number of interested students is greater than the available study places. The employment agency therefore recommends finding out about the various application procedures early on. In some cases, for example for the medicine, veterinary medicine and pharmacy courses, applications are made nationwide via hochschulstart.de.

An important aspect in this context is the Numerus Clausus (N.C.), which applies to many study programs. This value is determined from the applicants' Abitur grades and should not deter anyone. Further information can be found on the studienwahl.de platform. Anyone who would like to test their math skills or comprehension of the text can take part in a knowledge test and, if passed, receives a certificate of participation, which should be added to the application documents.

The TU Braunschweig attaches great importance to offering support to prospective students, be it in selecting the right course of study or the necessary admission requirements. Anyone who would like to find out more is cordially invited to visit the university's website to gain access to further information.
