SG Barockstadt is strengthening: goalkeeper talent Justin Duda is coming!

Braunschweig, Deutschland - The SG Baroque city has secured a promising newcomer: goalkeeper Justin Duda changes on a loan from Eintracht Braunschweig to the SG. The 22-year-old will be available for one year and is motivated to draw attention to himself in the regional league. Duda, who has an impressive height of 1.93 meters, was trained in the youth of Braunschweig and went through all age groups there, starting from the U17. Last season Duda was nominated 17 times for the professional team, while at the same time completing ten missions in the Oberliga Lower Saxony.

Christian Geisendörfer, the sporting director of SG Baroque city, expressed very positive about the newcomer after successful trial training session. "Justin wants to prove himself and hopes for a lot of playing time," says Geisendörfer. At the moment, only Timo Ulpins has a contract for the coming season, while the future of Samuel Zapico, whose contract expires on June 30, is still unclear. Jannik Horz has already announced his move to the OFC, which makes the need for a strong goalkeeper all the more important.

Justin Duda not only has a professional contract at Eintracht Braunschweig in his pocket, but can also look back on a considerable career. In July 2019 he moved to the club's youth performance center (NLZ), where he highlighted from the U17 to the U19. In the current season, he also gained experience in the Landesliga for the second team with 22 missions. In January 2023 he took part in the winter training camp in Chiclana de la Frontera, which gave him valuable insights into professional football.

Peter Vollmann, Managing Director Sport at Eintracht Braunschweig, praised Duda's development and the progress he made during training. The young keeper is happy about his signing of the contract and sees this as an opportunity to develop in sports. Duda has great ambitions for the coming season and wants to demonstrate his skills on the pitch in order to survive in the competition for number one in goal not only for SG Baroque city, but also for his future in the professional league.

The development of talents in the football area is becoming increasingly important. The German Football Association (DFB) has taken a significant step in the right direction with the talent promotion program since the 2002/2003 season. There are currently 346 bases that act as the first stage of talent promotion. These efforts are cemented by numerous young performance centers. On the way to the professional career, solid training in such facilities for players like Duda is crucial. Even if some clubs, such as Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and the Würzburg Kickers, have given up their NLZ, the promotion of talents remains a central concern in German football, which illustrates the importance of people like Justin Duda.
