There are positive developments regarding the future of sport in Schleswig-Holstein: The state government has the goal of promoting more major sporting events in the state. In the longer term, the aim is to upgrade the region in terms of sport. The new coalition agreement stipulates that the maximum funding amount for such events will be increased to up to 250,000 euros. At the same time, smaller events are also supported with grants of up to 50,000 euros. The state government can score points here with a clear funding approach, for example by addressing municipalities, authorities and non-profit organizations as applicants, as schleswig-holstein.de reports.
In addition, major sporting events are now organized with sustainability in mind. A guide from the Federal Environment Ministry helps to make the events climate-neutral and environmentally friendly. This means that the most modern requirements are also taken into account during planning.
