Professional reintegration: Free lecture for those affected!
On October 8, 2025 at 5 p.m. there will be an incisive lecture on professional reintegration in the Oncological Forum in Celle. The event is organized in cooperation with the Integration Specialist Service (IFD) and is aimed at people with (imminent) severe disabilities and their employers. The topics of the lecture are professional support and important information about reintegration in accordance with SGB IX. The event offers an excellent opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the help options available.
The Oncological Forum, located at Fritzenwiese 117, 29221 Celle, is barrier-free accessible as there is an elevator. Anyone interested can register free of charge by calling 05141 2196600 or sending an email to info@onko-forum-celle.de. This lecture offers a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and information about professional opportunities for people with disabilities.
The Integration Specialist Service (IFD)
The IFD is an important contact for employers who want to employ severely disabled people. According to information from the Federal Employment Agency, the IFD supports people in finding suitable training and jobs. In addition, the assessment of the skills and interests of those affected is promoted in order to ensure optimal preparation for the labor market. Another central aspect of the IFD's work is supporting people at work or during training.
The IFD specialists also offer information and advice to employees in the company in order to promote understanding of the disability and corresponding rules of conduct. They also offer follow-up care and psychosocial support. These services are provided on behalf of the Federal Employment Agency, integration offices or rehabilitation providers. More detailed information about the activities of the IFD can be found on the website of the Federal Association of Integration Offices and Main Welfare Agencies.
Success stories from practice
A concrete example of the IFD's work is shown in the story of Mr. Lang, a strategy consultant who suffered from psychological problems after a car accident. After he had already undergone day hospital care and outpatient trauma therapy, he was faced with the challenge of gradually resuming his professional activity. A conversation with a rehabilitation specialist led to contact with the IFD, whose support helped him find a suitable solution with his employer.
Thanks to the support from the IFD, Mr. Lang was not only able to reduce his working hours, but also take on a new job without the obligation to travel. His employer also received an integration grant from the German Pension Insurance (DRV), which not only benefited Mr. Lang, but also the company. This laid the foundation for sustainable integration into professional life.
Overall, the upcoming lecture in the Oncology Forum shows how important collaboration between integration services and those affected is. The presentation provides the framework to better understand the options for support and pave the way to professional integration. Take advantage of this opportunity to get valuable tips and exchange ideas with like-minded people.
