A large contingent of officers carried out several searches on July 4, 2025, which led to the arrest of three suspects. This action was the result of intensive investigations that uncovered a network that may be behind a series of break-ins at veterinary practices in Celle and the surrounding area. The investigation extends over the spring of 2025 and has shown parallels to a similar case in Neu Wulmstorf. Several sharp weapons were stolen there, and the analysis of traces led to two men aged 27 and 40.
The intensity of the investigation is also reflected in the extensive searches: a total of ten apartments and houses were searched on the orders of the Celle district court. During these operations, officers found cocaine worth tens of thousands of euros and five of the weapons stolen in Neu Wulmstorf. A third suspect, a 44-year-old man, is suspected of actively dealing in narcotics. The Celle public prosecutor's office has already obtained arrest warrants against the accused, and the investigation is far from over, as it is suspected that drug and weapons trafficking is continuing to expand in the region, as RegionalHeute reports.
