Annual exhibition Black and White”: art enthusiasts united in Celle!
An exciting event is just around the corner: The Amateur painting circle Celle (AMC) invites you to this year's annual exhibition in the Old Exercise Hall. This special event brings together art enthusiasts from different disciplines such as painting, photography and sculpture. Once again, the exhibiting artists show their creative work and their passion for art.
The exhibition will be onJuly 6, 2025 at 3 p.mceremoniously opened. Alwin Gröschner, chairman of the AMC, will welcome the guests. The musical accompaniment will be provided by the duo Sarah & Volker Mertins, which will give the vernissage a special touch.
Black and White – A topic for reflection
The motto for this year's exhibition is “Black White”. On the theme wall, the participating artists will present their work on this concept, implementing uniform formats and different approaches such as graphic and poetic representations as well as experimental works. The stylistic diversity of the works shown reflects the individuality of the artists.
The approximately 120 works presented in the Old Exercise Hall give visitors an insight into the different facets of black and white art. Art is not only an expression of creativity, but also a catalyst for introspection. Similar to another show that took place in the Kulturhaus Alte Schule Woltersdorf, where the theme of “black/white” played a central role, the focus here will also be on reduction to the essentials – the absence of color, contrasts and simplicity. These elements are intended to encourage the viewer to reflect and discuss, as alte-schule-woltersdorf.de describes.
Colors and their meaning
Although the theme of the exhibition is predominantly black and white, it has its own significance in the world of art. Colors guide our emotions and are considered very important in psychology. Black is often associated with elegance and power, but also with mystery and death, while white represents purity and innocence. These emotional messages from colors influence not only art, but also our daily lives. In fact, up to 87% of all impressions can be influenced by colors, as lottoland.com explains.
The exhibition runs fromJuly 6th to August 3rd, 2025, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is free, meaning everyone has the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of black and white artwork. Don't miss this chance and come and be inspired!
