Kickers Emden sign nine talents: new shine for the regional league!

The squad of the regional league team BSV Kickers Emden is new and fresh. With a total of nine new additions, the team is well positioned for the coming season and ready to take on the challenges of the league. In addition, 15 or 16 players will remain in the team, depending on how the situation surrounding Joshua Dudock develops. Preparation starts tomorrow and the anticipation for the new season is palpable.

An outstanding new signing is Bent Andresen, who is moving from VfB Lübeck to Kickers Emden. He is considered one of the most exciting players in the new squad. The defender has had a remarkable career: trained at Hamburger SV, he played for three years with the U21 in the Regionalliga Nord before moving to Lübeck last summer. There he played 26 competitive games and has already played a total of 65 regional league games. Andresen's impressive record as a junior national player for the DFB deserves special mention, where he made ten appearances from the U16 to U19 levels. Rießelmann describes him as a talented player with a strong left foot and a good understanding of the game, who is supposed to stabilize the left side of the defense both in a back four and on the wing. The goal for the coming season: playing time and a win against his former club Lübeck.

More new additions and skills

In addition to Andresen, Noah Gumpert also strengthens the team. The 22-year-old central midfielder comes from Holstein Kiel II and has over 100 regional league games to his name. Gumpert is described as having strong playing and technical skills and can be deployed flexibly at six or eight.

Another interesting newcomer is Emeka Oduah, a 23-year-old striker who previously played for VfL Osnabrück. After a severe cervical fracture that he suffered in October 2022, he would like to make a fresh start at Kickers Emden. The move to Emden is an important opportunity for Oduah to prove himself again in the regional league.

The other new additions include goalkeeper Norman Quindt from Hannover 96 II, defender Jarno Janssen from 1. FC Bocholt, striker Theo Schröder from FC St. Pauli II, central defender Peer Mahnke also from St. Pauli II and offensive player Nick Stepantsev, who comes to the Kickers from Hannover 96 II. These players bring a variety of experiences and skills that could significantly strengthen the team. Michel Eickschläger, who was introduced by TuS Bersenbrück in January, is also part of the new squad.

The conditions seem ideal for a successful season. With the complete squad planning, those responsible are optimistic that the Kickers will be very popular in the coming regional league season. Fans and supporters can look forward to seeing what the team brings to the field in the summer.
