European Film Festival in Meinersen: Free entry and exciting films!

This year, the Meinersen community will once again be the stage of the European Film Festival of Generations for the third time. From November 11th to 20th, filmic encounters will take place at four different locations in Meinersen, which are not only intended to entertain, but also to encourage dialogue. Entry to the events is free, which promotes a welcoming culture and attracts people of all ages. The aim of the festival is clear: it should promote exchange between citizens, cultures and generations. A concern that is also called out on the festival's website. Film screenings in Meinersen

This year, visitors to Meinersen can expect a varied selection of films:

  • „Sein letztes Rennen“: Ein bewegender Spielfilm über einen ehemaligen Marathonläufer, der am 13. November um 18 Uhr im Haus der Vereine Hillerse zu sehen ist.
  • „Ich, Daniel Blake“: Dieser Film über den Kampf um Sozialhilfe wird am 18. November um 18 Uhr im Kompetenznetzwerk Müden präsentiert.
  • „Monsieur Pierre geht online“: Eine melodramatische Komödie über digitale Inklusion, die am 20. November um 18 Uhr im Kulturzentrum Meinersen aufgeführt wird.

Participation is recommended for ages 14 and up. The festival team ensures an all-round successful experience with free snacks and drinks during the events. A festival for all generations

The European Film Festival of Generations is not only celebrated in Meinersen, but also takes place in other cities, such as Teltow. There will be an event with the film there on November 22nd“The Students of Madame Anne”held, which is supplemented by a short lecture by a contemporary witness to the Holocaust. This event also celebrates intercultural dialogue and historical debate, similar to it in Teltow is practiced.
