The Sylvester Härten Prize is reminiscent of the traditional Göttingen shop of Sylvester Märten, which closed its doors in 2016. The associated foundation was launched in 2013 by Wolfgang Lange, a former trainee of the Arnoldi School. This has set itself the goal of promoting the training in retail and sending the students' extraordinary achievements to be recognized. In addition, Alexander Grosse, chairman of the Hanover trade association, expressed very positive about all 43 graduates of the training branch and encouraged them to actively participate in the change in retail.

training in retail
The importance of the vocational school, especially in training as a retail clerk, cannot be assessed high enough. These educational institutions have existed since the 19th century and form one of the two load -bearing columns in the dual training system. Here not only general subjects such as German, mathematics and politics are conveyed, but also specific content that is tailored to vocational training. Due to the close exchange between theory and practice, these schools are a springboard to a successful career in retail for many trainees. Retirewerbauffrau.org informs that ...
Overall, prices and honors at the Arnoldi School testify to the strong commitment that both the trainees and teachers put into training. Retail remains a central part of our society, and with these talented graduates the future is well equipped!
