Renovation of the K35: Next construction phase in Wolfshagen starts!
In Wolfshagen in the Harz region, things are currently making good progress around the K35: The renovation work on the district road is progressing quickly. As of the current deadline, July 18, 2025, a first phase was successfully completed. The completed area extends between the town limits of Wolfshagen in the Harz and the Schäuderbaude. After extensive construction work, the K35 can now be used again from the direction of Lautenthal, which primarily benefits the residents and the local shops.
The end of the first construction phase does not mean that the construction site is completely history. From July 21st, the through town from “Knokewiese” to “Die Meine” will be completely closed for the second construction phase. Here too, it is important to park vehicles outside the construction site to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Residents are asked for their understanding, as the construction work will primarily involve milling work being carried out over the next week, followed by the asphalt surface layer.
Remediation plan and affected areas
The comprehensive renovation work on district road 35, which has been carried out since June 16, aims to replace a broken asphalt surface. According to District of Goslar, the renovation of the town thoroughfare will be carried out in a total of three sections. The first section covered the area between “Kreuzallee” and “Die Meine”. The completion of all measures is targeted for the end of the summer holidays, which promises relief for citizens and businesses in Wolfshagen and the surrounding area.
The costs of the entire construction work amount to around 776,000 euros. The transport industry will obviously benefit from these construction measures, because well-developed roads are a real location advantage. In Germany, the transport routes are often not in a good condition, which puts a strain on the economy. The importance of an efficient transport infrastructure is also repeatedly emphasized by the DIHK, as bottlenecks and dilapidated structures are increasingly becoming a problem for commuters and logistics companies.
Detours and public information
The diversions during the construction phase are clearly signposted. For the first construction phase, the diversion led back to Lautenthal via Langelsheim and the Innerstetal. The detours are also clearly visible in urban areas through appropriate signs. This ensures that traffic is affected but not completely paralyzed.
The continuous renewal of roads and paths is a must in order to meet the increasing need for mobility. After all, the Federal Ministry of Transport expects transport performance to increase by 13% in passenger transport and even by 46% in freight transport from 2019 to 2051. Stable and sustained transport is therefore crucial for the development of the region.
In this sense, it remains to be hoped that the construction work in Wolfshagen will not only be completed in a timely manner, but will also bring about a sustainable improvement in the transport infrastructure. This renovation could lay the foundation for future-oriented and safe driving in the region.
