Review of the last disruptions
There have been some disruptions in the last few days, which have now been resolved. The disruption on Marienburger Straße, Jürgenohl, was resolved on August 11th at 3:40 p.m. The maintenance work on Hindenburgstrasse in Hahnenklee was also completed at 1:00 p.m. and on Hindenburgplatz at 11:37 a.m. In order to react correctly in the event of a power outage, there are a few tips: stay calm, check the fuses in the fuse box and do not contact the emergency control centers immediately, but rather contact the energy supplier.
But what about the general electricity supply in the region? If you look at the power outage statistics for 2025, only 10 outages have been recorded in Goslar so far. In comparison, there were 75 outages in January alone, which underlines the estimated security of supply in the city, as the Federal Network Agency can also determine. This institution records and analyzes supply interruptions on a broad basis and offers valuable insights into the development of electricity supply in Germany, which can be found here.
The challenges of power supply
A nationwide comparison shows that the most common problems in Germany are caused by low-voltage faults. Goslar is no exception and is in the middle of the field in terms of failure rates. The cities of Clausthal-Zellerfeld (45 outages) and Bad Harzburg (20 outages) have so far suffered the most disruptions, while Braunlage, for example, is doing very well with only one outage. The complete overview of outages by municipality is shown in the following table:
| Community | Failures 2025 |
|---|---|
| Langelsheim | 12 |
| Clausthal-Zellerfeld | 45 |
| Goslar | 10 |
| Liebenburg | 8 |
| Bad Harzburg | 20 |
| Braunlage | 1 |
| Seesen | 5 |
Managing the power supply therefore requires a good knack for maintaining security of supply, especially during times of planned maintenance work. It is important for residents to stay informed and keep an eye on any outages in the region. An informed civil society is the basis for security and stability in the electricity supply.
