In Hamelin, a frightening incident on Tuesday night caused excitement and horror: a 27-year-old was arrested after attacking two homeless people. The public prosecutor's office and the police said that the man apparently came from the homeless community and knew both the victims and the crime scene. The investigation focuses on serious allegations such as attempted manslaughter and grievous bodily harm. The older of the two homeless people, a 56-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries during the attack and had to be flown to hospital with the help of a rescue helicopter.
