Unforgettable weekend in Hameln: Dragon boat & CSD party!

There's a lot going on in Hameln and the surrounding area this weekend (June 20th to 22nd)! A bright summer weekend is approaching and the region offers a diverse program for young and old. From sporting competitions to cultural highlights, everything is there.

A particular highlight is thisDragon boat fun regatta, which starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st. 64 teams compete against each other on the Weser and show off their skills in dragon boating. Dewezet reports that the celebrations after the award ceremony last into the night, so lots of fun and a good atmosphere are guaranteed.

Happiness and tolerance at the CSD

This weekend is also all about toleranceChristopher Street Day (CSD), which starts on the same day, June 21st, at 10:30 a.m. with a service in the market church of St. Nicolai. There will be speeches from 12 p.m., followed by the demo at 1 p.m. and a colorful stage program from 2:30 p.m. The day ends with a closing party at 6 p.m. in the Swamp Flower. For fans of culture and celebrations, the CSD is a must!

In addition, another cultural highlight awaits visitors to the region: theCountry tour at Bückeburg Castle. This begins on Thursday, June 20th and has the motto “Home sweet home – at home in Schaumburg”. Visitors can look forward to an exciting supporting program. Opening times are on Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (late night shopping) and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
