Helios Grizzlys reinforce squad with Argentine Star Iñaki Ramos

The HELIOS Grizzlys squad for the upcoming Volleyball season 2025/26 is slowly taking shape. With the commitment of 20-year-old Argentine diagonal attacker Iñaki Ramos, the Grizzlys have now completed their squad. Ramos not only brings international experience, but also a great joy of playing that his teammates will hopefully inspire. The young player is considered technically versed and longs for his first adventure in the German Bundesliga after having previously drawn attention to himself in his homeland in Argentina as a top performer. His participation in the Argentine national team is particularly mentioned, where he took part in the Copa America. At the end of August, he will also compete at the U21 World Championships in Jiangmen, China, before he joined the Grizzlys team training session in early September. Grizzlys head coach Itamar Stein sees great potential in Ramos and is convinced that he can develop well, which fans will surely hear with joy.

But the new obligations do not end at Ramos. The squad now comprises some newcomers, such as Yannik Ahr, Jakob Günthör, Niklas Breilin, Miguel Sinfrónio, Nicholas Slight, JT Hatch and Ethan Champlin. Together with the extended contracts by Mark Rura, Lars Migge, Arash Dosanjh and Mateusz Borkowski. With Michiel Ahyi and Dilja Ivanov, the grizzlys have to let two key players go on the departure side, while Noah Baxpöhler, Hauke Wagner and Jori Mantha announced the end of their careers. So it will be exciting how the newly formed squad will be in the Bundesliga.

a hard struggle for the points

In the current season, the Helios Grizzlys are in the middle of the fight for the top positions. At the next game on January 27, which takes place in the Spacetech Arena in Friedrichshafen, the Gieseners meet a strong team that is currently taking second place in the table. The game is already sold out, which speaks for the excellent support from the fan base. Head coach Mark Lebedew from Friedrichshafen proved to be confident and believes in the quality of his team. After a 0: 3 defeat against Berlin Recycling Volleys, he worked intensively on the style of play and mentality to ensure that his team can show the best performance.

The Grizzlys also perform strong performance, especially in the last game against the master from Berlin, which they made victorious. Diagonal attack me Ahyi scored 24 points in the last match and thus makes a decisive contribution to the team's success. Although Friedrichshafen will certainly need the support of their own fans in the hall, the grizzlys have won the past duel in the first half of the season and will try to continue this positive trend.

The upcoming challenges will be exciting! All eyes are aimed at the Gieseners who do not want to rest on their laurels, but want to start the second half of the season with fresh wind and motivation.
