On Saturday evening, December 8th, 2025, Team 48 Hildesheim showed an impressive reaction to their last defeat in Potsdam in the 2nd Bundesliga North. The team secured a 3-1 victory against BSV Ostbevern and thus secured important points for the rest of the season. The team led by coach Matthias Keller proved once again that they have a serious say in the promotion race.

The game started intensely, with a hard-fought first set in which the lead changed hands several times. Ultimately, Hildesheim prevailed 25:22, which strengthened the team's self-confidence. The team really got going in the second set: with an impressive defense and a strong series of points between 11:8 and 18:8, Hildesheim dominated and won the set clearly with 25:11.

Combative Ostbevern and the decisive moments

But Ostbevern didn't give up. In the third set they took control and gave Hildesheim a lot of pressure. With a solid performance they won the set 25:17 and showed that they are ready to fight. Hildesheim did not find its rhythm in this round. But in the fourth set the hosts showed their class again: with a powerful game and a strong team performance, they secured the set and the match with 25:14.

Particularly noteworthy was the performance of Isabella Scarlett, who not only had a decisive influence on the game as a middle blocker, but was also named MVP for the second time in a row. The talented player has already established herself as a key player in the offense and defense and impresses with her 185 cm height and outstanding skills.

With the win against Ostbevern, Hildesheim is now looking optimistically towards the coming games. Next week we play against Cottbus, followed by a top game against Münster II before Christmas.
