Today Lüneburg is once again being transformed into a pulsating party mile - the city festival “Lüneburg celebrates” begins and will attract numerous visitors until June 22nd. This three-day event promises a colorful program with live music, a culinary market and sports activities that will make every celebrant's heart beat faster. The city is transformed into a party zone that has something to offer for young and old. Melanie Gitte-Lansmann from Lüneburg Marketing GmbH proudly reports on 40 sponsors who support the event, and the anticipation for the celebrations is already palpable. State newspaper
However, the weather forecast for Sunday is a double-edged sword: up to 32 degrees is expected, which could pose a challenge for the safety of guests. Colin Kuhn, press spokesman for the German Red Cross, warns of the dangers of circulatory problems and recommends visitors to drink enough water, protect themselves with headgear and seek shady places. Already at the last city festival it was seen how many people had consumed too much alcohol, which led to some problems.
Action on seven stages
A highlight of the event are the seven stages on which numerous concerts, sporting events and other activities will take place. Among other things, DJ Walez will make Clamart Park shake with hip-hop and 90s classics from 6 p.m. Visitors can also expect an exuberant atmosphere on Marienplatz with music and a variety of culinary delicacies for young people.
There will also be an open-air wine festival in the town hall garden, where you can enjoy the end of the day with a glass of wine in a relaxed atmosphere. The culinary market promises a gourmet tour of various delicacies, while the party mile also offers party sounds well into the night. For younger visitors there is a play festival that appeals to both children and those young at heart. What could be nicer?
Safety precautions to ensure everything runs smoothly
At such large events, the safety of visitors is the top priority. The organizers have therefore taken extensive precautions to be prepared for all eventualities. This includes a central communication system for security forces, regular briefings and the provision of trained staff for the first aid stations, which are located throughout the festival area. The knowledge highlights that the use of technologies such as video surveillance and metal detectors also contributes to improving security.
A detailed evacuation plan with clearly marked escape routes and emergency exits is also provided. Collaboration with local authorities and emergency services ensures a quick response in the event of an emergency, while the team works closely to ensure the safety of visitors. So nothing stands in the way of a carefree celebration!
