VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck celebrates impressive promotion to the Landesliga!

There is reason to joy in Osterholz-Scharmbeck! The VSK did it: After ten years in the lower leagues, the club from the district league Lüneburg rose to the Landesliga. This was celebrated on June 17, 2025 with a clear 6-1 home win against TSV St. Jürgen. The meeting of the two teams was a hotly expected top game and the VSK was in top form.

From the beginning, the VSK dominated the game and gave the guests from St. Jürgen little chance. Jonah Meinert opened the goal account in the 8th minute. After a corner of Tom Alberts, he headed the ball in a soul. Justus Nordenholz scored the 2-0 in the 12th minute through a shiny Pass from Luka Hannuß. But the TSV Jürgen shortened shortly before half -time to 2-1 by a penalty of Levin Hoffmann.

After the change of sides, however, the VSK did not burn anything. With other goals through Meinert, Ellmers and Nordenholz, the team quickly placed 5: 1. Dennis Heim set the final point with a spectacular volley in the 80th minute. So the game ended with an impressive 6: 1 and not only secured the VSK, but also the promotion to the Landesliga.

Thanks to a strong season, which was completed with 66 points from 81 possible points, the team secured the championship title in the district league. In addition, the VSK with 76 gates achieved the best offensive and was defensive with only 18 goals conceded the measure of things. Her only defeat in the season was against FC Verden 04 II.

As is going on now, the Football and Athletics Association of Westphalia (FLVW) informs about this. The clubs have to prepare for the new season, which includes organizational tasks such as changing clubs and the message of players. In the coming year, an exciting challenge in the Landesliga will be waiting for the teams, which can come up with many new encounters and possibly new rivalries. The FLVW also offers support in the form of implementation regulations and youth regulations to guarantee smooth playing.

The domestic fans can be proud of the performance of their team, who enthused with an outstanding season and ultimately made the leap into the Landesliga.
