Club photos show the colorful life in the Osnabrück region - join in now!
In the past few weeks, the citizens of Osnabrück and Emsland have demonstrated their commitment to the community. As part of the “We from here” competition, clubs were able to submit their best photos, and the response was impressive. How NOZ reports, the gallery now includes 19 impressive club photos that represent the diversity of local commitment.
The deadline to take part in the competition is July 11th, and the chance to win a bonus of 500 euros for the joint funds of the participating clubs provides additional incentive. Each participant gets the opportunity to put themselves and their projects in the foreground, be it the emotional victory of TSG Burg Gretesch against the league leaders or the youth red cross Lathen overnight party for children.
The colorful club activities
The gallery includes a variety of activities that strengthen a sense of community. NABU Osnabrück took part in planting native trees at the Heger cemetery, while Saremba Motorsport Osnabrück took care of an inclusive e-kart day that appealed to both children and adults. SV Neubörger e.V. also shone with honors for long-standing members, which reflects the special commitment of the club members.
Projects such as the Last Aid courses offered by the Bramsche Hospice Association and the Lower Saxony Table Tennis Association's circular team cup for primary school children also deserve special mention. All of these activities are not only a sign of the clubs' liveliness, but also an example of the positive development through volunteers.
Voluntary work and the Osnabrück volunteer agency
The volunteer agency in Osnabrück, founded in 2002, offers an important framework for volunteer work. This first municipal facility of its kind in Lower Saxony has provided excellent support to citizens since it opened. To date, around 1,600 people have been advised, and around 900 have found active work in various projects such as Volunteer agency website documented.
The agency is not only a contact point for volunteers, but also actively participates in the design of new projects. Initiatives such as the reading sponsorship projects at primary schools or the annual Osnabrück volunteer days show how diverse the commitment is. “Volunteer Day” has been celebrated for years, during which around 500 volunteers are recognized for their work.
The association bears responsibility
The Federal Association of Associations and Volunteers (BVVE) supports and coordinates many of these initiatives. Like on the BVVE website described, the association is an important contact for clubs. Under the leadership of President Hans-Jürgen Schwarz, in addition to providing advice, we also actively work to promote volunteer work, which is of great benefit to the communities.
Anyone who is interested in implementing projects or getting involved in clubs will find a wide range of opportunities in the Osnabrück region. The “We from here” competition is not only a great opportunity to present your club's work, but also a further step towards promoting community unity.
