Two burglaries in Osnabrück: perpetrators steal cash and cigarettes!

In Osnabrück, the police made reinforcements twice this week in the fight against crime. With two burglaries, not only cash and cigarettes were stolen, but the perpetrators could also be caught very quickly thanks to attentive citizens.

During the first incident in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, between June 24th and 25th, the perpetrators in the restaurant on Lengerich Landstrasse, Hellern district, were closed. The restaurant was violently entered, whereby the unknown cash stole and then turned out of the dust in an unknown direction. Immediately after the restaurant robbery, another break -in occurred to a gas station on Wersener Strasse, on the night of Thursday, more precisely at 3:45 a.m. Here two masked men violently entered the sales room and stole several cigarette boxes. An attentive witness heard the noise while breaking up and immediately informed the police. This witness was able to observe how the perpetrators fled towards Kirchstrasse. The police recorded the persecution and encountered two men, 38 and 44 years old in Atterstrasse, which corresponded to the description of the witness. The arrested stolen goods were found in the form of cigarettes. At the order of the district court, their apartments were searched, where additional evidence could be ensured. The investigation as to whether the men were also involved in further burglaries is currently in full swing.
