New art project in Peine: Young talents conquer the stage!
Damm 51, 31224 Peine, Deutschland - In Peine something happens! An exciting new project for creative minds between the ages of 12 and 20 takes shape. Organized by the Culture of the Peine district and the young VHS of the district college, the project offers young artists the opportunity to present their own works of art live and in front of an audience. This innovative project is linked to the previous U20 exhibitions of the talented painter
Once a week for a period of eight weeks, the participants meet in the Ahrens studio, where they tinker together on their works of art, exchange ideas and plan the organization of their own art exhibition. The creative exchange in the inspiring atmosphere of her studio on the market square ensures that not only pictures but also friendships arise. And the best thing about it: participation is free and open to all young people, regardless of their previous experience. The first meeting will take place on Thursday, August 21, in Ahrens' Atelier (Damm 51). From then on, visitors are on the program every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Especially during the autumn holidays, three additional meetings are planned per week so that the young artists can use the time intensively. The works will then be presented in a large exhibition on October 24th and 25th. Afterwards, the works of art in the freedom of the Peine district museum may be admired. Interested young people can register by email at registration@kvhs-peine.de
The commitment of Ahrens goes beyond mere painting. In their studio, art is discussed in a convivial atmosphere, which also enriches the creative process. Ahrens sees painting as a particularly fulfilling activity. She not only brings her passion for art, but also innovative ideas, for example by experimenting with new techniques and materials. The walls of her studio also seem to suck up the joy of painting and give them back to the participants, so many of their course participants describe it. The relevance of art for children and adolescents is also underlined by the initiative Art and School . This is committed to promoting art projects through financial means, especially with regard to the challenges after pandemic. Creative projects have the potential to strengthen the self -confidence of young people and promote their motor skills. The past school year has shown how important such initiatives are to create an appealing environment for children and adolescents. A visit to the Britta Ahrens studio or participating in the new project could be the first step for many young artists to start their creative journey. It is only to be hoped that many of them can be motivated by this option and get involved in the adventure of art! Details about the project
