Certificate awarding: News from the successful course for educators!

In Lower Saxony, a new generation of teaching staff has set out at primary schools and soon also at secondary schools. The recently successfully completed course on “Educational Collaboration in Primary Schools” not only imparted knowledge, but also provided new impetus for the educational landscape.

How salzgitter.de reports, the teaching staff are now firmly integrated into the primary schools in Lower Saxony. They not only take on school substitute tasks, but also enrich the lessons with a wide range of additional offerings. The course, which lasted eight months, provided comprehensive knowledge in areas such as pedagogy, methodology and communication. A 160-hour internship and work-related German were also part of the program.

The participants had the opportunity to present the knowledge they had learned in a colloquium and received a certificate for doing so. Some of them are now deciding to continue their training as social pedagogical assistants at the vocational schools in Fredenberg. The next course starts on November 3, 2025 and is aimed at those interested who have pedagogical knowledge and want to work professionally in schools or daycare centers. Participants with a migration background who already have experience in the pedagogical field and have language skills at level B2 are particularly welcome.

The expansion of the all-day offer

The Lower Saxony state government is planning to intensify the use of teaching staff at lower secondary level, which will be supported by the introduction of a supplementary module to the existing courses. This module builds on the know-how of the successful course in primary schools and aims to further develop the skills of employees in all-day and comprehensive schools. vhs-nds.de emphasizes that the focus is on learning democracy through project work and group learning - aspects that encourage young people to develop and represent their own opinions.

In this context, the expansion of all-day schools in Lower Saxony is of immense importance. All-day schools are now established in all regions and school types, with around 80% of the facilities offering an open program. Loud bildungsportal-niedersachsen.de The individual adaptation of the pedagogical concept, for example through tied offers, is fundamental to promoting the needs of all students. The various forms of organization, be it open or tied, enable the school day to be structured flexibly, taking into account the students' need to move and their learning wishes.

The doors are open to everyone who is interested in teaching work: registration for the upcoming course takes place after a personal consultation at the adult education center. Contact options are also available and should be used if you are interested. It is important to seize the opportunities that this training offers and thereby sustainably shape not only your own life path, but also the development of the coming generation.
