A cold snap has Lower Saxony and Bremen firmly in its grip. The high pressure area “Christian” from Eastern Europe is bringing frosty temperatures and fresh air, which will cause noticeable cooling in the next few days. Sat1Regional reports a drop in temperature that not only lowers the humidity, but also brings frost to the region.
The German Weather Service (DWD) has confirmed the cold forecast. On Sunday, people in the region can initially expect cloudy weather, but this is expected to clear up from midday onwards. Highs of around four degrees are reported, but below that temperatures can drop to minus degrees. At night the values drop to a frosty minus four to minus six degrees (DWD). The high “Christian” continues to expand its influence and ensures dry continental air.

A look at the weather forecast shows that the coming nights will have the opposite weather. A light frost of around minus 1 degree is expected in the south and southwest on Sunday night, coupled with the risk of slippery roads due to frost or freezing wet conditions. The following night, from Sunday to Monday, will also be frosty with temperatures usually fluctuating between minus 1 and minus 5 degrees (DWD).
The sun can be seen after the initial areas of fog and clouds on Monday. There will be no precipitation and maximum temperatures will be between 2 and 4 degrees, while the nights may become colder. Lows between minus 1 and minus 6 degrees are forecast, which again brings with it the risk of slippery conditions.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, residents should expect brighter weather this time, with patches of fog only expected in the morning hours. Highs between 2 and 6 degrees promise a somewhat nutritious day, while night temperatures will be between minus 3 and minus 7 degrees.
