Grill ban on the Einfelder See: Neumünster says the fight!

At the Einfelder See in Neumünster, there is now a different atmosphere. The four fixed barbecues, which were previously a popular starting point for after -work grillers, were dismantled on June 2. The reason? Increasing complaints from residents and bathers over the nasty garbage and the stench that brought the grilling with it. Again and again there were unsightly legacies, including grill residues, garbage and even used diapers. The district advisory board of Einsfeld then called for a general ban on grill to protect the Einzelder See as a recreation room. Paid toilets are also on the wish list of the residents to improve the hygienic conditions. This reports KN-Online.

The public barbecue area was not only popular with locals, but also for bathers. The closure is a restriction, especially for Neumünsterans without a garden or balcony, which now has to look for alternative barbecue areas. The city of Neumünster is forced to act in view of these grievances and therefore has long since broken down the grill stalls. Outdoor venues that are suitable for grilling must now be reconsidered in the future to prevent such problems, as also the report of the SHZ clarifies.

Neumag and the zoo school

Not only the ban on grill causes excitement in the city. The Oerlikon group sold its textile machine factory Neumag. This has been producing machines for textile industry since 1948 and employs around 300 people. An interesting new business model has been announced: the assembly of transformer stations for electricity grids. This could be a future -oriented turn for the company.

There was also a change of management in the zoo school in the Neumünster zoo. The 28-year-old Merle Hansen took over the management in April and plans to offer pedagogical programs as well as materials for schools and zoo trainees. Good news for education and animal welfare in the region!

Especially for a city like Neumünster, which has poorly cut off on the bicycle climate test, there is a need for action to make the leisure offer to make attractive for its citizens in the future. For a healthy cooperation, it is important not only to treat the citizens breaks, but also to take over the part of the person responsible.
