The weather in northern Germany is changing today, June 25, 2025. In Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania there was a cloudy day, but it would clear up in the afternoon. As the Borken newspaper reported, temperatures in Hamburg and Lauenburg can reach up to 23 degrees, while Sylt remains a little cooler at around 18 degrees. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania the values can fluctuate between 20 and 24 degrees. On the coasts, however, it is very windy and isolated squalls are to be expected. Nighttime temperatures drop to a pleasant 14 to 8 degrees and remain free of precipitation.
What's next tomorrow? The weather forecast suggests looser and dry weather. But be careful: there is a risk of thundery rain from the afternoon onwards. Particularly in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, violent thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail cannot be ruled out. Temperatures between 25 and 28 degrees are expected inland, while a mild 21 degrees will prevail on the coasts. There could be isolated showers on Friday night, but these will subside quickly. This means that lows of 18 to 15 degrees can be expected.
Weather conditions and influences
A high pressure area that pushes through from the south initially brings mild and moist air to the north. The wind will become fresher in the northeast half and can temporarily reach gusts of up to 60 km/h. Stormy gusts of up to 70 km/h can even be expected on the coasts.
It remains to be seen whether these thunderstorms actually lead to severe weather. Although there could be dangerous gusts of up to 100 km/h, the probability remains low. In the southern half of Germany, however, the sun shines and ensures temperatures between 25 and 35 degrees.

The weather forecast for Friday promises rather mixed weather: clouds dominate the sky and occasional rain is to be expected, especially in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Here the maximum values are between 19 and 22 degrees. On the coasts the wind can be very gusty and temperatures cannot exceed 19 degrees.
Saturday will also be cloudy to partly cloudy, although the chances of rain are slim. A mix of sun and clouds brings mild temperatures between 21 and 26 degrees to the north, while the southwest can look forward to up to 34 degrees.
