On the night of November 2nd, 2025, the police in Celle carried out a surprise check on a van. During this routine check, police made an unfortunate discovery: several geese in a worrying condition. But the control brought even more unrest. Of the four occupants of the van, one fled on foot; a search was unsuccessful. The driver of the vehicle, however, was heavily intoxicated, with a breath alcohol test of 0.8 per mille. To make matters worse, the van's license plates were not registered for this vehicle and the origin of the vehicle remains unclear to date.
